I think this all solely depends upon the Manager unfortunately here in Washington as to the end result.
Washington is not a right to work State so if you run into a poor Manager that feels his power reigns outside the hours of employment can let someone go for no reason except as cutting back or something as stupid as that.
It will depend upon each of you to choose who you work for and what one will tolerate.
