As well it should be. The LEO's shouldn't take offense either. I can guarantee you that when a LEO is brought in for questioning for any shooting or alleged illegal activity, they have it drilled into them to respectfully "Shut up and Lawyer up." Even when a member of LE management is required to do a post-incident interview, which the LEO is required to answer; the LE Manager has to inform the given LEO of his rights. While the LE Manager is doing the taped advisement about providing a statement, the LE Manager is shaking his head "NO." Which of course can't be picked up on the recording.
